Overview
Yatagarasu Shrine (八咫烏神社, Yatagarasu-jinja) is a Shinto shrine located at the foot of Mount Inasa in Haibara, Uda City, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It is historically significant as the first shrine documented in written sources to enshrine Yatagarasu — the sacred three-legged crow of Japanese mythology — as its principal deity. Yatagarasu is a divine messenger associated with guidance and imperial lineage, famously said to have led Emperor Jimmu during his eastern campaign. The shrine sits in a forested mountain setting and maintains an active community presence, regularly sharing news of festivals and shrine life. Website: yatagarasujinja.net | X: @yatagarasujinja
